AUGUST, FTW

The homestretch of summer. Packed with weddings. I enjoyed an (actually hot) weekend off last week and now beings the solid stretch of weddings until November! Toss in piano lessons, gymnastics, riding camp, the county fair and eeek, back to school. I have a love hate relationship with those last three words.

WHAT LITTLE BROTHERS ARE FOR

My 17 year old brother played this for me a couple weeks ago. I came home and bought the LP and since then, I have listened to it. A LOT.

MID-JULY

June came and went and I can't say I'm entirely disappointed. Our condo flooded back in March and we made do until mid May when it was time to move out entirely in order for the repairs to be complete. Today I unpacked the last three boxes! We are back in our home! There are a few minor things left to accomplish: a second bunk bed to assemble. We have living room furniture that we ordered which won't be here until August so we're kicking it with just a couch and an end table but living like a minimalist has it's perks... it's been easy to clean!

THE BIG TIME

In the wedding industry Martha Stewart's name kinda flashes in lights doesn't it? Well! I'm excited and honored to have stationery featured in her latest Weddings issue AND my gorgeous daughters photographed by Michéle M. Waite are in it as well! SOTW

Rap + a trumpet? Uh, yes. Sign me up. I saw Grieves and Budo last year as an opening act and I instantly fell in love... their stage presence was electric. This is one of my favorite songs and youtube videos. It's hard not to focus on Budo's awesome dance moves the first viewing :) but I think he's so cute. I wish we could have gone to prom together haha
